You really can’t get any better than a SHSU with block logo hat.  The hat is a classic Richardson 112 mesh back with adjustable fit. The leather patches are industrial bonded to the hat.  This is an officially licensed product of Sam Houston State University.

Hat Cleaning & Care:

Take care of your hat and it will take care of you.  The leather on the hat is made from vegetable leather and will last for years.  Vegetable tan leather is the same leather used in saddle making and made for the outdoors.  Avoid washing the hat in a washer and applying any detergents to the leather.  This will cause the leather patch to dry and shrink.  If the hat needs to be cleaned, apply a mixture of water and vinegar to the hat and not the leather patch.  The leather patch will patina over time and will darken when out in the sun.  This is a natural process that will give the leather additional character as it ages.
